We are God’s people in Jesus Christ – and so are you. 

You are welcome and beloved here, no matter who you are, where you’ve been, 

what you’ve done or not done,  or from where you’ve come.

So much has changed, yet the things that truly matter are constant and immoveable: 

God loves us, and we love him, and because of that Love

we love and care for each other.

We acknowledge that the land on which we gather is the ancestral territory of Indigenous peoples of Treaty 6 including Cree, Dene, Blackfoot, Saulteaux, and Nakota Sioux nations.

 
We also acknowledge this as traditional homeland of the Métis Nation of Alberta Region 4. Additionally, this area is home to one of the largest communities of
Inuit people south of the 60th parallel. 

We recognize this acknowledgment is but a speck of that needed to work toward reconciliation
and atonement for the role of the Church in oppressing the Indigenous peoples of this land. 

We commit to our baptismal promise to strive for justice and peace among all people,
and to respect the dignity of every human being.
